Ch. 61Dark Bell Na Nali
Plot points and events
- Na’er leaves the Federation Parliament after arranging to deal personally with an influential member suspected of financial ties to the Holy Spirit Cult. Soon afterward, the final stability trial for Artificial Soul Spirits succeeds, and the Spirit Pagoda announces mass production. The Federation accepts the decision after failing to stop Na’er.
- Six months later, Na’er discovers that “Lina,” her new maid, is actually Na Nali, a rank-97 Super Douluo and one of the Holy Spirit Cult’s Four Heavenly Kings. Na Nali had infiltrated the Spirit Pagoda intending to use her spiritual Martial Soul to control Na’er.
- Na’er easily defeats Na Nali, countering her sound-based attack by folding space. When Na Nali attempts to self-detonate, Na’er contains and compresses the blast until Na Nali is destroyed.
- Before dying, Na Nali reveals that the Demon Empress has awakened and will restore the Holy Spirit Cult. A report from Chen Xing confirms that the Blood God Legion has detected the awakening and Holy Spirit Cult forces gathering in the Far North.
- Na’er and Chen Xing prepare to go to Parliament. Meanwhile, Blood God Legion commander Zhang Huanyun orders first-level combat readiness as the Demon Empress’s power spreads. A voice from deep in the Far North begins to speak.
Character developments and interactions
- Na’er demonstrates her political influence and overwhelming spiritual and spatial power. She remains composed while exposing Na Nali, then reacts decisively to the news of the Demon Empress’s awakening.
- Na Nali is revealed as a long-term infiltrator whose confidence in her spiritual-control abilities proves misplaced. Cornered, she fights, tries to self-destruct, and dies warning Na’er about the coming threat.
- Chen Xing brings Na’er the emergency report and offers to accompany her.
- Zhang Huanyun responds to the crisis with disciplined urgency, mobilizing the Blood God Legion.
