The Unknown Evil God

Bakura's wild laughter vanished in an instant, replaced by utter surprise and intense curiosity.

He narrowed his sinister eyes, studying the phantom Red-Eyes Black Dragon protecting Boruto and the card behind it, which still gave off a lingering glow.

"So that's it!" Bakura tapped his chin and chuckled. "Heh heh heh! Not only do you have eyes that can see the darkness, but even the cards you use harbor a 'soul' this powerful?"

"Looks like you're a chosen child too! Things are getting more and more interesting."

After holding back the encroaching darkness, the phantom Red-Eyes Black Dragon seemed to have exhausted its strength. It slowly faded back into the card, though its dim crimson glow had yet to go out completely.

Bakura strolled forward and looked down at Boruto, who lay on the ground gasping in pain but had survived thanks to that sudden turn of events. Then Bakura offered him a deal.

"Your 'partner' certainly worked hard. So, kid, how about we make a deal?" A cruel smile curled Bakura's lips.

"Do one thing for me, and I'll return the life force the Shadow Game took from you. You'll be able to live like a normal person again."

Boruto was weak, but the defiance in his eyes had not faded. He forced himself to raise his head and glared at Bakura. "D-don't even dream of it! I'm Boruto Uzumaki, and I'll never do anything for an evil bastard like you!"

"Hmph. You don't know what's good for you!" Bakura's eyes turned cold, as though his patience had run out. "Looks like you still don't understand the position you're in!"
