At the last instant, Dagon made his choice. He slammed his palms together and leaned back, dodging the blade by a hair's breadth. The edge of the strike sliced open his robe, exposing the dark blue skin beneath.
"Domain Expansion!"
Chakra erupted from Dagon like a volcano. The force warped reality. The valley, the floodwaters, the Konoha ninja, even the light itself—all were forcibly overwritten by some unseen law.
Sasuke felt space shift.
One moment, he was in the valley. The next, he stood on a boundless sea.
The sky was a strange, dark red. There was no sun and no cloud, only a blood-colored canopy overhead. The water was black as ink and reeked of decay. No land lay beneath his feet, only a bottomless ocean.
"Domain Expansion: Horizon of the Captivating Skandha."
"Welcome to my world, Sasuke Uchiha."
Dagon's voice came from every direction. He stood on the sea a hundred meters away, seemingly one with the entire Domain. His presence was several times stronger than before.
"I know you stand at the pinnacle of the Shinobi World. You're the legendary wielder of the Rinnegan. But..."
He spread his arms, and the sea began to boil.
"In my Domain, I make the rules! I am god! Horizon of the Captivating Skandha, rise!"
The sea answered his call.
First, tens of thousands, then hundreds of thousands of monstrous fish leaped from the water. Each was larger and more vicious than those before it.
Then came giant octopuses, squid, and jellyfish. Eyes covered their tentacles, and every eye reflected Sasuke's image.
Then came larger things: the dorsal fin of a whale shark cut through the surface, the shadow of an ancient mosasaur prowled the Deep Sea, and some enormous ray with a human
