"Is that the Snow Queen?"
Bai Xuan gazed at the pure-white figure in the image and asked Xi.
"Yes! That's her—a being formed from ice and snow, the sovereign of snow elements, the guardian of the world source!" Xi nodded emphatically, rattling off a string of titles.
Bai Xuan barely listened. He simply watched the Snow Queen in silence.
Her entire body was formed from ice and snow, pure white all over. She had even woven a long dress out of ice to envelop her figure completely.
Just one glance—
And the cold seemed to seep into his bones, leaving him unable to make a move.
"With our current strength, we probably aren't a match for her—"
Bai Xuan lowered his eyes and murmured.
He knew his limits. Even if everyone fought together and had a slim chance of winning, he could hardly guarantee there would be no casualties.
That was an outcome he absolutely could not accept.
"Your assessment is correct, Master."
Jialianhui quietly came to his side and explained softly, "This being called the Snow Queen is several times stronger than the Da Qi Serpent we faced before. If we fought her, we would have no chance of winning."
"Unless you break through to the next realm, we would only suffer a crushing defeat."
Hearing this, Bai Xuan turned to Xi. "See? We can't rush this."
"But—"
Xi lowered her head helplessly.
She knew she was being impatient, too, but if they did not pick up the pace, this world might come to an end.
"Don't worry," Bai Xuan immediately reassured her gently. "Since I promised to help you find the world source, I won't go back on my word."
"Mm... I believe you, human."
Xi let out a soft breath, a little light returning to her eyes.
