A magnificent underwater city was engulfed in war.

Built from countless corals, volcanic rock, and unknown metals, the city glowed with soft bioluminescence, like a pearl fallen into the abyss. Now that pearl was suffering a blow unlike any before.

Another of Apokolips's generals, Darkseid's eldest son Kalibak, was leading a force of Parademons modified for underwater combat in a relentless assault on Atlantis's Energy Shield.

These aquatic Parademons were even more hideous than their kin. With enormous fins and sharp claws, they swam at astonishing speed under the crushing pressure. Instead of fire, they spat corrosive acid that ate away at the Energy Shield.

Atlantean warriors piloted manta-shaped personal submersibles, wielding spears that fired high-pressure jets of water and sonic blasts. They fought the Parademon army in a brutal battle through the dark depths.

Every second, an Atlantean warrior's blood mingled with the cold seawater, while a Parademon was sliced to pieces by a pressurized jet.

At the center of the battlefield stood two terrifying figures.

The king of Atlantis, Arthur Curry, looked like a raging lion, his hair and beard bristling. Golden scale-like tattoos covered his bare torso, and his knotted muscles brimmed with explosive strength. He gripped the legendary Neptune's Trident. Every swing unleashed a fearsome undercurrent capable of tearing steel apart.

"Get out of my kingdom, you scum from Hell!"

Aquaman roared and thrust his trident forward. A massive whirlpool formed from nothing, swept up hundreds of Parademons, and instantly ground them
