Just like that, a massive swarm of clones rushed toward Lingmeng.

Lingmeng simply raised the Elemental Spirit and laid into them.
One Kurumi after another went flying under Lingmeng's blows. At this rate, it was only a matter of time before she broke through their defenses.

While Lingmeng was still tangled up with her clones, Kurumi once again pointed Zafkiel at her own temple.
"Dalet."
The moment the bullet pierced her head, the injury Lingmeng had inflicted there healed.
"Heeheehee... Since you two refuse to behave, I'll let you experience despair up close all over again!"
Letting out an eerie laugh where she stood, Kurumi raised her right hand toward the sky.
"Come... Let despair descend!"
No sooner had Kurumi spoken than the Spacequake alarm rang out through the previously silent school again.
"A Spacequake...!? What are you trying to do!?"
Still fighting off Kurumi's clones, Lingmeng stared at the original in shock.
She had been wondering why she had heard the Spacequake alarm in the classroom earlier. Now it seemed Kurumi had been responsible for that, too.
"Heeheehee... You ask why? To paint your faces with despair, of course! Hahahahaha...!"
Kurumi kept laughing.
As if answering her laughter, the sound of air grinding against itself began to ring out directly above Raizen High School.
Looking up, they saw an enormous black sphere slowly descending.
Both Lingmeng and Shido's eyes widened.

Pinned to the ground by hands emerging from the shadows, Shido screamed inwardly.
Kurumi had intended to trigger a Spacequake here earlier, too, but he had threatened to kill himself and forced her to give up.
Now, however,
