After that, she worked for another ten minutes or so.

For some reason, Lingmeng kept feeling uneasy.
It was as though someone was watching her from the shadows.
She had actually felt this way ever since she changed into her chef's uniform and met up with Shiori and the others.
At the time, though, she had dismissed it as her imagination and ignored it.
She turned toward the spot behind her where she felt the gaze coming from, but there was nothing there except a wall.
"Ah... don't tell me this place is haunted?"
Scratching her cheek lightly, Lingmeng muttered under her breath.
She could clearly feel an intense gaze coming from that spot, yet no one was there.
It really was a little creepy.
Well... that said, Lingmeng could more or less guess who this person was.
After all, her mental power wasn't just for show.
"Isn't sneaking around and spying on me boring? Come out and have a chat."
Lingmeng called out to the wall in front of her.
There was still no response.
The kitchen assistants around her tilted their heads in confusion when they saw Lingmeng talking to a wall.
"Head chef Lingmeng, are you talking to the wall?"
"Ah, no. You're just imagining things."
