Every Ork was a born warrior, and every Ork had to learn to join the fighting. That was why Gruumsh had created their race.
Thus, the vast majority of Orks in every tribe were expected to be capable of fighting.
There were, however, a few exceptions.
Luthic, Goddess-Queen of the Orc Pantheon, sheltered some Ork mothers and children. These Orks generally stayed out of battle, protected by their mother goddess and permitted to remain behind to build the tribe's caves, make tools, and raise their young.
It was worth noting that Orks generally had very short lives. Because of war and slaughter, an Ork who lived to twenty-five was already considered old, and their natural lifespan ended at forty to forty-five. Unless they reached legendary strength, most Orks never lived past fifty.
