The Eyes of Gruumsh had never seen such a terrifying monster. These warriors blessed by the Ork god had once believed they did not even know what fear was-until they saw this enormous, bull-faced monster.
Skarbrand the Wanderer had once been Khorne's foremost Greater Daemon. Then, beguiled by Tzeentch, he had struck Khorne with an axe while the god's attention was elsewhere. Enraged, Khorne had seized Skarbrand and stripped him of all personality, thought, and will, reducing him to a beast that knew only rage, hatred, and slaughter. Then he had hurled him from the heights of the Skull Throne in the Brass Citadel. Skarbrand had hurtled through the realm of Chaos for eight days and eight nights before crashing down into a mangled heap, his wings shattered until only broken wing bones remained.
His eternal exile had begun.
Skarbrand had long since lost all reason, thought, and personality. Endless rage and hatred alone drove his actions. If these green, one-eyed creatures thought they were so formidable, then let them come!
The Bloodthirster charged into the Eyes of Gruumsh, his twin battle-axes whirling in sweeping arcs. In the blink of an eye, blood flowed in rivers. Thunderous explosions accompanied showers of torn flesh. Ork blood splashed over the Bloodthirster, only exciting him further. Skarbrand's blazing axes choked every Ork's roar of "Gruumsh" in their throats.
It was a one-sided massacre. Skarbrand took almost no time to dispatch all the Ork reinforcements, then dealt a vicious blow to Samir, the Warlock who had also tried to stop him.
