Baldur's Gate, Upper City, High Council Hall.
Be'lakor had barely finished his war council when Malcanthet latched onto him. As always, the Original Daemon Prince had to satisfy the Demon Queen of Succubi's almost endless sexual appetite, devoting some time to it every day.
The good news was that they still found each other quite novel. As long as Be'lakor could satisfy Malcanthet's desires, their alliance remained reasonably solid.
The bad news was that Be'lakor had recently begun having trouble sensing the Winds of Magic. The Queen's Kiss kept drawing energy from his body, and the Demon Queen of Succubi seemed to be plotting something.
Whenever Be'lakor asked, Malcanthet said she wanted to create a fruit of their love together. According to her, she had borne children with many Abyssal Lords, but none of those offspring deserved a body as perfect as Be'lakor's. Malcanthet had once borne many children with another Daemon Prince, Demogorgon, but they had turned out so ugly that even she wanted to vomit at the sight of them. She had thrown them all away.
She wanted to bear several new children with him.
Be'lakor indulged Malcanthet's desires halfheartedly, thinking that perhaps things would be better if she became pregnant.
Not again!!!
Besides dealing with the Demon Queen of Succubi, Be'lakor was also concerned about the deteriorating situation.
Following the usual arrangement, the current City Council of Baldur's Gate still had four ruling dukes. They were:
Archduchess Anta Silvershield, who represented the traditional nobility, controlled maritime trade, and had deep roots in the city;
Archduke Eltan, who commanded the Flaming Fist, the city's largest military organization, and was responsible for maintaining order and defending Baldur's Gate;
Archduchess Lila Jannath, a mage herself, who had good relations with other mage organizations and was responsible for coordinating with them
