When the Church of Waukeen threw its full weight into action, it proved remarkably efficient.
By that very evening, word had arrived from the Highgold Ladies.
The Church of Cyric had an overseer in Athkatla named Tenghakh. He came from the north but posed as a wealthy merchant from Zambia. Despite that claim, Tenghakh never actually conducted any business. He merely passed goods from Zambia on to cooperating merchants in Amn. Instead, he had rented an entire floor of the Charlie Grand Hotel in the Gem District and lived there permanently.
Beneath his merchant disguise, Tenghakh wore another layer of identity-he seemed passionate about all kinds of competitive sports, lavishing money on tournaments and frequently attending them in person. His judgment as a sponsor was poor, however, and he often backed the losing side.
What made the bald man famous was his stubborn refusal to admit defeat. He always blamed something else, and no matter how badly his side lost, he could find endless excuses to defend himself. This made him notorious in the City of Coin and attracted a following of equally hotheaded, vigorous young men who admired his refusal to back down.
Tenghakh had built a small circle around himself this way.
The Church of Waukeen's connections in the City of Coin needed no explanation. Once the identities of merchant and sports sponsor had been peeled away, the core beneath Tenghakh's double disguise lay exposed-he was a cleric of the Dark Sun, with Rogue as his primary class.
"When there aren't any tournaments and he has nothing to do, Tenghakh never sets foot outside the hotel. He keeps up his persona as a wealthy foreign merchant at all times. Whenever he goes out, he only attends competitions, secretly passing messages about the Dark Sun to the outside world
