The Demon Lord of Samora was named Marietta, a Succubus Sorcerer. She was not particularly powerful, having only reached the peak of the Elite tier. Even so, Six-Fingers Graz'zt had appointed Marietta as Samora's city lord and granted her tremendous authority.
Marietta's residence was heavily guarded. She could readily mobilize the entire city's army, including the Legendary Goristro patrolling the docks outside, and her residence also housed a powerful mobile force.
This mobile force was called the Ladies' Guns. It was a patrol unit of several dozen female half-Demons, known as the Ladies' Guns Cavalry, who rode aircraft as mounts. They were formidable fighters and obeyed only Marietta's orders, giving the Succubus city lord considerable authority within Samora.
According to the Ogre guide Xinlan, Six-Fingers valued Marietta so highly precisely because she had once been a Succubus serving the Demon Queen of Succubi, Malcanthet. Ultimately, however, Marietta had chosen to serve Six-Fingers. Graz'zt had been ecstatic, taking this as proof that his charm was no less potent than Malcanthet's, and had therefore entrusted Marietta with such important responsibilities. He had even once placed his own daughter, Talashia, under Marietta's command.
With Six-Fingers' backing, Marietta had named her residence the House of Calculation. She had turned it into a club devoted to supreme pleasure and depravity, handling the city's daily affairs in an underground bunker that also served as her pleasure den.
Samora had thus become a refuge for countless Demons seeking to escape the Abyss's Blood
