The cat chewed through the keyboard cable

I was wondering why the connection kept cutting out like crazy while I was writing today, going ding-dong~ one moment and dong-dong~ the next. Unplugging and reconnecting the USB over and over didn't help.

When I took a closer look, the keyboard cable was covered in tooth marks...

My kitten, Cheese, had chewed it...
