Pandemonium, an Outer Plane, was a prison for countless horrors.

Mask, the God of Thieves, held a candle that sealed away Kozef the Chaos Hellhound as he searched for Cyric's secret hiding place.

Countless monsters were imprisoned in Pandemonium, including Elder Evils that even the gods feared. Beyond that, this Outer Plane was itself a place of extreme chaos.

Without the "Kozef-brand" candle in his hand, Mask would never have dared approach this place.

But now Kozef had given Mask a chance to move through Pandemonium. One of the Chaos Hellhound's greatest talents was counter-tracking, and once he was sealed away, the candle flame pointed toward a particular passage in Pandemonium.

This place truly inspired fear even in gods. Screeches, wails, and undying curses echoed everywhere in the lightless gloom. The flesh of all manner of evil creatures lay heaped on the walls, floors, and roadside food carts, occasionally writhing and howling. Beyond the walls, masses of shapeless flesh dangled eye-covered tentacles through the railings, while the cursed abominations howled mindlessly, yearning for freedom and destruction.

Cyric had hidden the Cyrinishad here.

Mask kept leaping forward, nimbly slipping past one ominous presence after another, until Cyric's Dark Sun holy symbol, the Eight-Pointed Star Skull hidden in the deepest recesses, opened the way for him.

Mask stood before the great door. Discovering that it had been sealed, the God of Thieves' eyes grew dreamy behind his mask. He moved both hands along the seal, as gently as though caressing a lover.

Light strokes, slow twists, brushes, and flicks-Mask's fingers danced like golden snakes, tracing 999 strokes in succession. He hummed "See You Again," and as the final note fell, he gave a gentle push with both hands.

The seal opened.

"Man~" Mask murmured cheerfully to himself. "What can I say?"
