After Nagato and Konan brought Akatsuki over to Naruto Uzumaki's side, Deidara came to Konoha with Sasori, Kakuzu, and the others.
But Deidara kept conducting bomb experiments, so Naruto Uzumaki had picked out a testing ground for him.
He had restricted Deidara's movements, though.
Bringing his thoughts back to the present, Naruto Uzumaki looked at Kurotsuchi curiously. "Why does Deidara suddenly want to leave the village?"
"He seems to have heard about some kind of Human Bomb out there. He's interested and wants to see whether that bomb can compare to his art."
Kurotsuchi explained slowly.
"Human Bombs?"
Naruto Uzumaki frowned at her words.
Why does that sound like a terrorist attack?
"I don't know the details either."
Seeing the question in Naruto Uzumaki's eyes, Kurotsuchi shook her head and waved it off.
"All right, I understand."
"Get some rest here for now."
Naruto Uzumaki got dressed and, with a thought, arrived at the Hokage Office.
Inside,
Deidara was already waiting.
"Boss, what do you say?"
"Can I go out for a bit?"
"I'm going to show the bastard hiding in the shadows and making Human Bombs what a real explosion looks like! That's true art! Yeah!"
Deidara launched into a tirade the moment he saw Naruto Uzumaki.
He had kept his old habit from Akatsuki of calling Naruto Uzumaki "Boss."
"Hold on a moment."
Naruto Uzumaki first got Deidara to shut his chatterbox mouth, then picked up the scroll on his desk and began reading.
A moment later,
Naruto Uzumaki finally understood what had happened.
Recently,
a string of terrorist attacks had broken out for no apparent reason in the Land of Hot Water.
Many government facilities had been hit.
The attackers looked no different from ordinary people, but at some point, they would explode.
The explosions were powerful.
