She turned around, and saw that Li Danxin's cheeks were slightly pink, her toes awkwardly tiptoeing as she held a handkerchief in both hands.

"Madam?"

"Lord Zhu..." Li Danxin looked troubled. "I'm sorry. My younger brother, he... offended you."

"..."

"I only just heard that Xiaojing fell into the water and lost his memory, is that true?" Biting her pink lips, Li Danxin let out a deep sigh. "No wonder, ever since I came back this time, I always felt he was a bit different from usual. Seeing him today, it really is a complete departure from his normal state. Xiaojing is ordinarily a most polite and proper gentleman of modesty and restraint. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I truly wouldn't believe he would do something so... outrageous and sacrilegious to Lord Zhu."

Zhu Bafu took the scented handkerchief from Li Danxin's hands, wiped the water clean from her face, and forced a passing smile with her lips. "Madam shouldn't be so self-blaming. Just as you said, Young Master fell into the water and lost his memory in order to protect Miss Liu Rongrong from being harassed by the Prime Minister. It just so happens that only a commoner was by his side, which gave Young Master a bit of a fledgling imprint. Once Young Master remembers the past, he will return to being that modest gentleman of before."

"You... know Rongrong?" Li Danxin asked in surprise.

"Not just know her. His Majesty constantly stays with Miss Liu over at Chunfen Pavilion and refuses to return to the palace. In order to persuade His Majesty to go back to the palace, I ended up offending her." She scratched her head, speaking lightly.

When the relationship between His Majesty and Liu Rongrong was brought up, Li Danxin
