Though she had taken a heavy blow, Love recovered quickly.

She quickly took to the air again and healed her injuries with magic power. Then pink magic crystals, entirely different from her spheres of light, appeared beside her.

Love had prepared these specifically to deal with enemies whose skin could absorb attacks.

The solid crystals would phase just before touching the enemy's skin, bypassing its outer defenses to enter its body before exploding.

But just as Love was about to fire, the monster suddenly moved.

It bent its knees slightly, then leaped.

The Negative Crystals beneath its feet shattered, and it crossed a hundred meters in an instant.

In the blink of an eye, the monster was right in front of Love.

So fast!

The monster swept its two clawed arms across, while the two massive arms on its back—one larger than the other—sealed off the openings on either side. Its body was as huge as a mountain of flesh, yet it moved with impossible speed.

Love could only fire a few crystals before hurriedly dodging, barely slipping through the gaps between its four enormous claws.

The gust brushed past the hem of her skirt, carving four deep trenches into the crystalline ground.

Meanwhile, Love's crystals penetrated the monster's body and exploded.

A series of muffled blasts made the monster's body bulge, followed by an enraged roar.

The tremendous roar echoed through the cavern, making Love feel as if her ears were about to burst.

But... did it work?

It had indeed worked. The parts of the monster struck by the crystal bombardment quickly shriveled.

But—

Wisps of black mist rose from the Negative Crystals covering the ground and flowed into the monster, restoring its body to normal.

"Tch."

Love clicked her tongue.
