The corner of Kaku's mouth lifted. "Do you think just any old thing would catch our captain's eye?"

"Huh?" Enel paused.

Kaku urged him on. "What are you standing around for? I'm not completely sure myself, but if that staff Sabo mentioned is real, it might be a powerful weapon the captain's been hiding. If you're too slow and miss your chance, and the captain gives it to Sabo, you'll regret it."

Enel and Kaku might fight and trade insults all the time, but Kaku would never set him up when it mattered.

So after hearing Kaku out, Enel spent a few silent seconds thinking, then turned into lightning and raced to Lin Mo's room ahead of Sabo.

"Lin Mo! Captain! Give me your staff!" Enel burst straight in without even knocking.

Lin Mo closed the book in his hand and set it on the table before him. Then he stood, appeared in front of Enel in the blink of an eye, and jumped up to punch him again.

"You really are fast," Sabo said to Enel with a grin.
