Chapter 316: Sabaody: Preparing to Coat the Ship
Two pieces of gold were a drop in the ocean compared to Lin Mo's savings.
So the moment Rayleigh finished speaking, Lin Mo took out a second piece without hesitation and tossed it over.
Rayleigh caught it and said regretfully, "You agreed so quickly. I should've asked for more."
"You've got your money. Get to work," Lin Mo urged.
Rayleigh waved a hand. "Don't worry. I'll do what I promised. Let me play two more rounds, then I'll go."
Lin Mo said nothing. He stared coldly at Rayleigh, his expression making it clear that if Rayleigh didn't leave now, he'd make him.
Seeing that, Rayleigh gave in. "Young people have no patience. Hahaha. All right, all right. I'll coat your ship first, then come back. Let's go, kid."
In high spirits, Rayleigh turned and headed toward the casino entrance.
Lin Mo followed.
As they passed through the doorway, Rayleigh glanced at two casino employees checking on the unconscious doorman sprawled on the floor. "What happened to him?"
Both shook their heads, looking baffled. One said with a headache, "He was already down when we got here. We don't know whether he collapsed on his own or someone attacked him. He's only unconscious, though. Nothing serious."
"Oh." Rayleigh half-joked, "Your casino's security could use some work. How about hiring me as a guard for three thousand Beli an hour?"
The other employee gave a strained smile. "We only make a thousand Beli an hour, and you're asking for three thousand?"
"Hahaha!" Rayleigh laughed. "If you won't hire me, never mind. I'll be off."
"Take care, sir," they said together.
Rayleigh stepped around them and rummaged through a barrel piled with weapons, pulling out his sword.
Lin Mo had to hand it to him.
