One Piece: Starting by Refusing Red-Hair's Invitation

"He's still alive." Lin Mo turned calmly, took Perona's body out of System Space, and laid it on the ground. Then he used Geppo to descend to the bottom floor of the building.

Perona had been about to hit Lin Mo with a Ghost Bomb, but his words made her stop. She immediately returned to her body and hurried over to check on Moria. Sure enough, he was still breathing.

Since Moria could no longer fight, Lin Mo saw no need to attack someone who could not move.

As far as he was concerned, failing to kill Moria in one strike meant this was not where Moria was destined to die.

Thriller Bark: Brook Gets the Wrong Idea

Brook had sneaked into Moria's castle and found Lin Mo without any trouble.

As luck would have it, he had also seen the entire fight between Lin Mo and Moria.

"What incredible strength... My eyes nearly popped out, though I'm a skeleton and don't have any eyes! Yohohoho!" Brook exclaimed.

After descending to the ground floor, Lin Mo spotted Brook as he left through the building's main entrance.

Brook was practically dead: he had no breath or heartbeat, and he made almost no sound when he walked. Lin Mo genuinely had not noticed that Brook had followed him to Thriller Bark.

Now that Brook had discovered Thriller Bark ahead of time, Moria probably would not get the chance to cut off his shadow.

Lin Mo had indirectly changed Brook's fate. Without his shadow tying him here, Lin Mo had no idea whether Brook would ever meet Luffy.

Either way, it did not matter. Whatever happened to Brook in the future was fine, as long as it did not interfere with Lin Mo's check-in.
