But Enel was different. Killing someone had never been a big deal to him.
Spandam and the Marines behind him stared in shock and disbelief.
"How is this possible..." Cold sweat beaded on Spandam's forehead. "Is Jabra dead?"
Enel glanced back at him, and a sinister smile curled across his lips.
Spandam jumped and instinctively backed away.
"You're this guy's boss?" Enel asked, pointing at the thoroughly cooked Jabra.
Spandam swallowed hard and shook his head. Then he shoved the Marines behind him forward. "You—stand in his way! I'm getting out of here!"

"Damn it, what kind of person does that? How did he ever become an officer?"

The Marines had all been terrified by Enel killing Jabra with a single bolt. None dared step forward.
They weren't CP9 members to begin with. They had only come because their superiors had ordered them to protect Spandam.

Besides, Spandam had been the one to order Lin Mo killed.
Now a CP9 agent had been taken out by someone clearly on Lin Mo's side. Spandam had brought it on himself. They had no intention of dying to protect a man they didn't even want to protect.
So when Spandam ran, the Marines withdrew without a moment's hesitation.
"Sir, are we just leaving Jabra?"
"He was your subordinate. Even if he's dead, shouldn't we bring back his body?"
The Marines chasing after Spandam couldn't help asking.
"I don't need weaklings under my command," Spandam
