Background and History

Lin Mo receives Little White as a pet egg. It hatches on Zou while unusual black clouds disperse, and Lin Mo names the hatchling Alexander Little White. Little White immediately attaches himself to Lin Mo, calls him “Master” once he learns to speak, and becomes part of the crew 207 208. Kaku makes him a wooden nest, but Little White outgrows it after a night of feeding and sleep 208 209.

His early hunger causes trouble on Zou. He hunts large animals, fights and badly injures Enel after Enel provokes him, and overwhelms Mink fighters who attempt to stop him. He later speaks with Zunesha and frees him from his thousand-year punishment, completing Lin Mo’s Zou sign-in mission 208 210 211.

Little White continues traveling with the crew, though Lin Mo sometimes sends him on missions with Kaku and Enel. When separated from Lin Mo, finding his master takes priority over everything else 250 307 513 517.

Appearance

Little White’s original form is a white dragon whose size ranges from small enough to coil around an arm to approximately one hundred meters long. His human form is a pale, slender man about 1.95 meters tall 209 347 391.

  • Human form: Two white dragon horns, waist-length silver hair, and cool features 209.
  • Other form: A white horse that can still speak 207 220.
  • Clothing: Transformations originally left him needing fresh clothes; Lin Mo later gives him a teal battle suit that remains fitted when he changes between human and dragon forms 212 680.

Personality

Little White is intensely loyal to Lin Mo, insists on protecting him, and obeys his orders even when he would rather keep fighting. Toward most other people, he is blunt, impatient, and often indifferent to the harm he causes. His search for Lin Mo leads him to destroy the Puss in Boots fairy-tale kingdom; afterward, Lin Mo orders him to ask permission before killing someone 218 307 308 309 391.

He spends much of his time eating or sleeping and is especially drawn to meat and glittering objects. Kaku’s guidance gradually changes some of his behavior: Little White practices apologizing, stops wiping bloody hands on his clothes, and later refuses to steal food even while lost and hungry. He remains literal-minded and unfamiliar with ordinary social conventions 244 337 338 514 515.

Abilities and Skills

Transformation and growth

  • Changes between dragon, human, and white-horse forms; in human form, he can turn individual hands into dragon claws 207 210.
  • Controls the size of his dragon form, from ten centimeters to approximately one hundred meters 347 391.
  • Grows rapidly through eating and sleeping. The more he eats, the longer he must sleep to absorb the nutrients 208 209 210 514.

Physical combat and Thunderfire

  • Uses claws, teeth, and tail strikes with enough force to break Birdcage threads, overpower Jack, and defeat Cracker’s Biscuit Puppets by eating them 227 352.
  • Absorbs or catches lightning and throws it back. His dragon form can release Thunderfire 207 210 391.
  • Can fight effectively in human form: he overpowers Marco without revealing his dragon form during their match 216 217.

Durability and healing

  • Heals a shallow cut from a Birdcage thread almost immediately, though he recognizes that his human form is less durable than his dragon form 227.
  • Withstands Whitebeard’s Air Quakes in dragon form. Whitebeard eventually cracks a scale, and the wound heals slowly rather than instantly 388 392.
  • His blood heals Enel’s injuries; the crew later drinks measured portions to benefit from its healing properties 440 422.

Bloodline pressure and resistance

  • His words can exert a coercive force on others, which Little White believes may come from his bloodline. His presence also forces Mink fighters to their knees 209 210.
  • Resists Perona’s attempt to pass through him in spirit form and Galette’s attempt to control him with butter bindings 311 347.
  • Unlike a Devil Fruit user, he can enter the sea. Kaku asks Lin Mo to keep this hidden during the friendly match against Whitebeard, since outsiders believe Little White’s dragon form comes from a Devil Fruit 211 391.

Equipment and Items

  • Diamond Clock — Little White helps acquire the clock from Clockwork Island and hangs it aboard the Flying Ship. He reacts angrily when Enel jokes about giving it away 339 387.
  • Teal battle suit — Given to him by Lin Mo so he remains clothed when changing between dragon and human forms 680.

Relationships

  • Lin Mo — His master and the person he values most. Little White protects him fiercely but stops attacking or surrenders when Lin Mo commands it 209 249 392.
  • Kaku — Makes his first nest, feeds him, and teaches him practical rules and courtesy; Little White thanks him for looking after him 207 209 337 338.
  • Enel — A frequent rival whom Little White badly defeats on Zou. Their bickering and clashes continue aboard the crew’s ship 210 387 440.
  • Lin MuMu — Persuades him to travel with her when he is lost, later enlisting him in a staged bounty scheme. He throws her into the sea when she tries to draw on his sleeping face 375 517 521.

Major Arcs

  • Zou: Hatches, grows rapidly, clashes with Enel and the Mink fighters, and releases Zunesha from his punishment 207 209 210 211.
  • Dressrosa and Punk Hazard: Breaks through Doflamingo’s Birdcage, overwhelms Jack, and attacks Garp when Lin Mo is injured 227 249.
  • Green Island: Destroys a fairy-tale world while searching for Lin Mo and kills the girl who trapped the crew; Lin Mo then sets a rule requiring permission before future killings 307 308 309.
  • Clockwork Island and Totto Land: Helps obtain the Diamond Clock, then accompanies Lin Mo through Totto Land, where his appetite and strength prove useful against Cracker’s biscuit constructs and living sweets 337 339 352 359.
  • Dune Island: Fights Whitebeard in a friendly match. After both sustain injuries, Lin Mo ends the contest and Little White surrenders 388 391 392.
  • Separation at sea: Loses his way after pursuing Garp and Kizaru, tries to obtain a Log Pose, and eventually joins Lin MuMu and Shusuke in their search for Lin Mo 513 514 517.
