His whole body went weak, and he swayed on his feet, unable to accept the tragedy before him.

At that, Hikari burst into laughter, his face twisted with mockery and tears glistening in his eyes.

For a moment, he felt as though his mind would shatter. Dizziness washed over him, and he staggered back several steps.

Then he abruptly raised his head and looked at the Anbu who had suddenly appeared around them, wearing fox masks.
"Planning to kill me to keep me quiet?"
Kakashi looked up at the newly arrived Anbu and opened his mouth, but he had no idea what to say.
"The Third Hokage has arranged temporary accommodations for you."
