Kakashi froze.
Immediately afterward, anguished cries echoed through the Blood Moon space.
"Kakashi!"
Guy's expression changed drastically. He saw that after the two merely exchanged glances, Kakashi's body went limp and collapsed.
His figure flickered, and he instantly appeared behind Kakashi, catching him.
"I'm fine!"
Kakashi was drenched in sweat, as if completely drained. He could barely stand.
Itachi turned expressionlessly and walked toward the outskirts of the village.
"Don't try to stop us again."
"Otherwise."
He did not continue, but the meaning was obvious.
Kisame looked at Guy, chuckled, then turned and followed.
Chapter 522: Losing Control and Madness
"Kakashi!"
Guy watched the two gradually disappear into the distance before turning back to look at Kakashi again.
But Kakashi's body had gone limp. He was almost entirely leaning against Guy, his eyes glazed over and his forehead covered in sweat. He had clearly suffered a severe blow.
"Don't chase them!"
"We're no match for them!"
Kakashi said through gritted teeth.
After a mere exchange of glances, he had fallen victim to Genjutsu. Within that blood-red lunar space, he had endured a full seventy-two hours of torment.
He had been stabbed countless times all over his body, leaving his mind severely traumatized.
What shocked him even more was that Itachi, who was only ten years old, was already so formidable that even Kakashi had suffered badly at his hands.
Guy's expression shifted slightly, and he fell silent.
A moment later, after those two figures had completely disappeared, he said, "I'll take you to the hospital."
Kakashi nodded weakly.
By the time the two reached the Ninja Hospital, Kakashi had already fallen completely unconscious.
After examining him, the doctor said solemnly, "Such severe mental trauma. If this had happened to an ordinary person, it would probably take several months to heal."
