Tsunade froze at his words, then shouted, "If I die, he becomes Hokage!"
"But right now, I want you dead!!"
Roaring, Tsunade sprang forward and charged at him.
"You still don't understand!"
"Or rather, the world you've experienced is on an entirely different level from mine now!"
Danzo sighed and effortlessly dodged her fist again.
"Let me show you the heights I've reached!"
"The realm your grandfather once stood in!"
As his words fell, he abruptly brought his hands together.
"Wood Release."
Those simple words made the charging ninja's expressions change drastically.
"Flower Tree World Emergence!!!"
As the words rang out,
Crack, crack, crack!
The ground split open rapidly. Trees burst from the earth and shot skyward at a visible speed, covering all of Konoha in the blink of an eye.
Then masses of flowers bloomed, and mist spread.
"Where is the Nine-Tails?"
Danzo asked coldly, watching Tsunade hang high in the air, bound by a vine.
"Even if I die, I'll never tell you!!"
Tsunade shouted furiously.
"Then die!"
Danzo said coldly.
The vine binding her spread rapidly, engulfing Tsunade's entire body in an instant.
In the distance, Kakashi's expression changed at the sight.
Without the slightest hesitation, he vanished from the spot.
With his opponent gone, Tobi froze briefly. He watched Kakashi leave and, after a moment's hesitation, chose not to pursue him.
He darted through the forest, capturing several Konoha ninja whose spirits had broken and questioning them.
"Where is the Nine-Tails?"
"He's not here! He's not here!"
"Where did he go?"
Tobi demanded harshly.
"I don't know! The Nine-Tails' Jinchūriki left the village a month ago!"
At the same time, Danzo had already used the power of the Rinnegan to search the souls of Konoha's ninja.
"Not here!!"
"He isn't even in Konoha!"
He growled furiously.
