Kuta looked at the apple in the old man's hand and reached out to touch it, but the old man stepped back out of reach.

The old man stopped and smiled at Kuta.

"Young man, this is an incredibly precious treasure!"

"Oh..."

The old man leaned in and whispered, "I'm only telling you this: I found this astonishing treasure when I sneaked into some ancient ruins."

He patted Kuta on the shoulder, then turned to look at the golden apple in his right hand and continued, "Take just one bite, and you can live for a thousand years! It's the legendary Golden Apple!"

"The Golden Apple? Live for a thousand years?"

Kuta smiled at the old man. "Did you really find it in ancient ruins?"

"Yes! Of course I did. It's a legendary relic of an ancient civilization!"

"And it can really make whoever eats it live for a thousand years?"

"Mm!"

The old man nodded and held the apple up to Kuta's face. "You can take my word for it."

"Then it must be expensive!"

Kuta shook his head and turned to leave. "Sorry, sir. I could never afford something that valuable. I'd better go!"

"Uh!"

The old man's hand froze midair, still holding the apple. As Kuta turned away, he hurriedly grabbed him. "Sir, since you clearly know a treasure when you see one..."

When Kuta stopped, the old man quickly let go. He frowned in thought, then looked up with a smile. "That's right! I can give you a discount."

"Oh... A discount?"

Kuta turned back and smiled at the old man. "How much of a discount?"

The old man raised a fist, then flicked up his index finger.

"A hundred thousand Beli?"
