The distance made it hard to spot the Altar and the buildings beyond it without looking closely.

And the direction they were drifting was straight toward the Altar.

"Hmm! That really is an Altar."

Kuta looked away and turned to the others with a smile. "Looks like we've got another adventure ahead of us. Everyone, stay sharp. Judging by how ancient this island is, there might be something fascinating up there!"

"Heh!"

A-Tao blew out a puff of smoke and chuckled. "Don't worry, Kuta! We're always ready!"

"Huh?"

A-Luo paused with the telescope to his eye, as though he had spotted something. "Kuta, come look. There are Marines on this island."

"Marines?"

Kuta took the telescope A-Luo handed him and looked where A-Luo was pointing.

Sure enough, he saw an ancient building atop a cliff.

It was too far away to make out the whole building, and he couldn't see any Marines. But the flag flying high above it was unmistakably the Seagull Flag of the Marines.

"Who'd have thought even a random island like this would have Marines?"

Kuta handed the telescope back to A-Luo, shook his head, and turned to lean against the railing. He grinned at the others. "Who cares? We're just here to have fun. Even if there are Marines, they probably won't come looking for trouble!"

"After all!"

"We're pretty famous among the Marines, aren't we?"

He couldn't help laughing as soon as he said it.

"Hahahahaha!!"

The others looked at Kuta and burst out laughing too.

Once again, the Freedom filled with cheer.

A huge sailing ship sat on a stretch of beach.

The reek coming from it, along with the skull flag fluttering atop its Mast, made one thing clear: this was a Pirate
