"What do we do?"
The colonel turned to glance at the remaining marines, then settled his gaze on the one who had asked. "Report what happened here to our superiors first! The Silver Hair Crew isn't something we can handle."
"As for this place..."
He paused, looking down at the bodies on the ground, and said heavily, "Gather our comrades' bodies and take them back to the warship, then..."
"Then wash the street clean!"
They obviously couldn't leave their comrades' bodies here. As for washing the ground, he thought it over and decided to play it safe. If that terrifying man came back, none of them might get away.
Chapter 245: Eerie Gate
The world behind the door.
Lucci and the others had been walking for a while.
When nothing unexpected happened, Lucci's racing heart gradually settled down.
"Whew... looks like I was overthinking it."
His nerves gradually relaxed, and his usual cold expression returned.
"Hm?"
Just then, he noticed that everything around him had suddenly gone quiet. His companions, including Kaku, who was supporting him, had all stopped walking.
Through the arm supporting him, he could feel Kaku's body trembling violently.
As though something had occurred to him, horror swiftly spread across his cold face. And, of course, fear.
Slowly, ever so slowly, he raised his head.
Sure enough.
That indelibly terrifying figure had somehow appeared in their path.
The newcomer exuded no aura, yet that familiar sense of oppression struck the depths of Lucci's soul instantly. His eyes widened as his pupils shrank to pinpricks.
Once Kuta had seen and sensed a place, it left a spatial node. With a spatial node, of course he could enter!
To other people, space was something invisible and intangible. To him, however, it was something he could truly touch and feel.
