Ch. 241Come Out, Kaguya
Plot points and events
- In Ryūchi Cave, Obito tells Madara that fragments of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki’s will may remain within them after the Ten-Tails was divided. Madara cannot sense her, but Obito claims his Six-Tomoe Rinnegan detected her.
- Obito tries to coax Kaguya into revealing herself so they can question her about the Ōtsutsuki Clan. When she gives no answer, Madara suggests her damaged chakra may let her hear them but not reply. The Ten-Tails’ chakra in Madara trembles, seeming to confirm this.
- Obito decides to use his newly awakened Rinnegan technique, Tsukuyomi. It can draw a target’s mind into a dreamlike world, with success more likely when the target is emotionally stirred.
- Obito transports himself and Madara to the Kamui Dimension, then provokes Kaguya by reminding her that her sons ultimately sealed her away. He also prompts Madara to recall emotionally charged memories of his old friend Hashirama.
- Obito activates Tsukuyomi. Madara awakens in a surreal red-and-black world beneath a blood-red moon. Obito identifies it as the Tsukuyomi World and says Kaguya is there with him.
Character developments and interactions
- Obito displays confidence in his new ocular powers and takes charge of the attempt to contact Kaguya. He is willing to negotiate, but threatens to destroy her if she resists.
- Madara trusts Obito’s judgment and follows his lead, while inwardly envying his Rinnegan and its six tomoe. His memories of Hashirama provide the emotional trigger Obito needs.
- Obito and Madara work together, though Obito’s repeated emphasis on his “Six-Tomoe Rinnegan” privately irritates Madara.
- Kaguya remains unseen and silent, but the chapter implies she can hear Obito and reacts angrily to his reminder of her betrayal and sealing.
