Dian's eyes shifted. Just as he was about to act, the night lit up like day. Silvery light spread in every direction, and strands of it slowly wound around a spiral bud that had appeared between them, shaped almost like an ear of corn.

Like ripples spreading across water, a clear chime reached deep into their hearts. Pure silver light enveloped Dian and everything around him, and all fell still.
"What is this?!"
Red light flickered in the doll-like girl's eyes. Powerful Psychic powers surged from somewhere within her, pushing back against the sudden, mysterious wave.
But Sabrina soon realized it was useless. The silver light flowed like mercury, utterly ignoring her power.
Hum—
Waves of vibration pierced time and space, radiating from the multicolored petals before rushing back toward their center.
In the end, only Sabrina, floating in midair, and the mysterious bud, now closed again, remained.

Whatever it was, she would be better off examining it in her best condition.
