Aboard the pure-white airship, Dian and Sabrina sat side by side.
There was a slight sensation of weightlessness as flight attendants moved back and forth with professional smiles.
He glanced beside him. Sabrina was playing a staring game with the Jigglypuff and Pichu in her arms... or, more accurately, she was studying them as though they were test subjects, while the two could only tremble and huddle together.
It wasn't that Jigglypuff and Pichu didn't resist. Sabrina was simply too powerful.
Dian calmly ordered two sandwiches, then opened the Pokémon Times app and began reading.
The very first headline was explosive.
"Love across species—according to footage supplied by an anonymous source, the Giant Tentacruel and Giant Dragonite previously seen in Blue Point City have reappeared off the coast of the Sevii Islands, apparently with a bizarre offspring."
A photo was attached below, vaguely showing two enormous creatures and a strange, pixelated being bound by the Giant Tentacruel.
A flood of scrolling comments followed.
"Trash editors, using doctored pictures for clicks again."
"Wait, based on my years of experience imagining things, doesn't that pixelated outline look like a person?"
"Ahem, hello, everyone. My Dragonite and Tentacruel recently gave birth to a humanoid creature. I'm freaking out."
Dian silently closed it. That had absolutely nothing to do with him. He set down his Capture Styler, then picked up the latest issue of the Times and began reading.
"The newest Kalos Queen—the Gorgeous Scarlet Fairy, Ai'er!"
"Scholar Suzuki unanimously recognized as a Pokémon Professor by the research community for his Growth Promotion Theory!"
"League-affiliated Consolidated Group unanimously approves the Napolant Kingdom's application to join the League!"
A smile tugged at Dian's lips. He hadn't expected Ai'er, still just a little girl, to have already claimed the title of Kalos Queen.
