Icy mist swirled across the frozen battlefield, as though it still lingered in the clash of ice against ice, Pokémon against legend.

The bitter cold continued to coil through the air. Surely it would affect the battle to come. That seemed like common sense.

But common sense had no place in either battler's mind just then.

Because power was not bound by common sense!

"Yingyue and Tobias's second Pokémon are—" Takeshi wiped the sweat from his palm and gripped the microphone again.

"Interesting. Very interesting." Tobias closed his eyes and smiled. He had indeed lost the first round...

"But!" His eyes snapped open, still gleaming with certainty. "What will you do next?"

Watching the figure opposite him throw a Poké Ball as well, Tobias calmly named the Pokémon about to appear. "Shaymin!"

Two flashes of red light revealed a pair of tiny creatures, one in the sky and one on the ground.

Two clear cries rang out at once through the biting wind.

"Wata!"

"Shaymin!"

"It's Jumpluff and Shaymin!" Takeshi shouted.

Jumpluff's blue, cottony body drifted on the cold wind. Wisps of cotton spores scattered a multitude of powders below.

Poison Powder, Stun Spore, Sleep Powder, and Leech Seed filled the air. Jumpluff's red eyes watched the timid little figure below with caution.

A small white creature shaped like a hedgehog and covered in green grass huddled shyly on the ground. Its four short white legs shifted uneasily, and its little green eyes were full of bashfulness. "Shaymin..."

It stole a glance around and found countless eyes watching it—curious, shocked, bewildered.

But one pair stood apart, its crimson gaze burning with fighting spirit!

"Shaymin!" Shaymin huddled down and looked over cautiously, paying no attention to the powders and spores around it. It blinked, and the solid ice beneath its feet
