"Don't tell me you told him," Batman said, glancing at Roland.
"Don't look at me." Roland spread his hands. "You're the one who handled this badly. You've already broken up. What are you doing going back to her?"
"What's so strange about that?" Batman looked puzzled. "What's wrong with seeing an ex-girlfriend?"
"You really are something," Roland said with a sigh.
"There's no talking to a playboy like you."
"I'm off. I haven't been too busy lately, so I might as well look around Metropolis." Batman took off his Suit, changed into a suit and sunglasses, then headed downstairs.
"Hey!" Superman pursed his lips. "I'm going to keep an eye on Lois."
"What exactly is going on between you three? Because it looks a little strange to me," Roland said.
"Nothing, Father Roland. Want to visit the Daily Planet?" Superman asked. "Our headquarters is pretty big."
"Sure." Roland nodded. "I'd like to see Lois too."
At the Daily Planet headquarters.
"Clark, where did you go?" Lois demanded as soon as she saw him. "Do you know what huge story just broke? Someone put Lex Luthor in the hospital!"
"Something urgent came up—"
"That's what you always say. You—" Lois suddenly spotted Roland coming in behind Clark. "Father Roland? What brings you here? You two know each other?"
"Yes, Father Roland and I met before. He's visiting Metropolis, so I brought him by to see our office," Clark explained.
Seriously, man? You're not even going to keep up the act? Roland glanced at Clark. "That's right. I met Mr. Kent the last time I came to Metropolis."
"The last time?" Lois looked at Clark suspiciously, as if something had occurred to her.
"Yes, the last time." Clark nodded.
