The Netherworld unsealed (V)

"Are you serious?" Shazam froze.

"Take a guess." Deadpool skipped forward.

"To think you found him first." A man suddenly appeared in front of Deadpool. "What a surprise."

"Is this The Flash?" Shazam asked curiously.

"You must be Professor Eobard Thawne. Hello, hello." Deadpool recognized the newcomer by his gold suit. "Just what I'd expect from someone with the Negative Speed Force. You actually got here second."

"Call me Reverse-Flash," Reverse-Flash said. "Since you've found the target, why haven't you subdued him?"

"Because I can't beat him, obviously. This kid's pretty tough, but he's not too bright. I was planning to trick him into going to Lord Nero," Deadpool said.

"Hey, hey, you're kidding, right?" Shazam stared at Deadpool in shock. Was his new friend actually a villain? And had he just blurted out his entire plan?

"...Whatever. I'll just capture him myself." Reverse-Flash broke into a sprint and tried to grab Shazam, but Shazam dodged him.

"Mercury's speed really is something," Deadpool marveled. He pulled a smartphone from his pocket. "Who's faster, Shazam or Reverse-Flash... DC Universe speed rankings, Reverse-Flash in third... Shazam in ninth... Oh, looks like Reverse-Flash is faster after all."

Deadpool was right. Shazam wasn't as fast as Reverse-Flash, but speed wasn't his only ability.

There was also the power Zeus had bestowed upon him, allowing him to unleash lightning magic.

"Thunderbolt!" Shazam sent lightning crackling outward, striking Reverse-Flash.

And there was the nearly limitless strength Heracles had granted him.

"Got you." Shazam wrapped his arms around Reverse-Flash, who had been paralyzed by the lightning, and easily squeezed him unconscious.

"You're next, Wade." Shazam turned toward Deadpool, who was filming from the sidelines.

"Hold on a second." Deadpool turned around, pulled out his white underwear, and hung it from a branch, waving it. "I surrender."

"Huh?"
