Six days later.
Gotham City and Metropolis in Flashpoint World were shrouded in black fog. Their residents had already evacuated. Here, Aquaman and Wonder Woman carried far more weight than they did in the original world.
"Batman just went over the battle plan. Any questions?" Roland asked the group.
"One." Green Lantern raised a hand. "Priest, did you really come up with this plan? Could you tell me Batman made it? I'd feel a lot better."
"Now do you understand how I feel?" Dead Servant asked Roland.
"Right. Any other questions?" Roland ignored them both.
"Batman explained it pretty clearly. We're good," Superman said.
"Then I'll go over your battlefields and opponents one more time."
"Superman will fight The Savage at Metropolis Laboratory; Wonder Woman and Raven will fight The Merciless at Gotham City Cemetery."
"Green Lantern and Dead Servant will fight The Dawnbreaker in Crime Alley; the Flash army will fight The Red Death in the sky."
"Cyborg, Richie, Zauriel, and Jason will fight The Murder Machine in the network; Batman and Damian will fight The Batman Who Laughs in the Batcave."
"And the most dangerous place of all—Gotham River—will be the battlefield for me and The Drowned!"
"Huh?" Everyone turned to Roland. Was that right?
Batman's face darkened. That bastard fighting a female version of himself? The thought alone was horrifying.
"I mean Aquaman and Mera will handle The Drowned." Roland coughed. "I have something more important to do—keep an eye on Barbatos and stop him from sending reinforcements."
"That won't be easy. Be careful," Batman told Roland.
"It shouldn't be too hard. That blue guy still calls the shots in this world," Roland said. "We just have to hold off Barbatos. He'll handle the physical side, while Merlin and I handle the magic. We'll be fine."
"Good."
