"I think I sleepwalked into the sea? Weird, I've never done that before, and I couldn't even see the coastline out there..." Back on land, Killer Croc spat seawater all over the ground, looking baffled. "Good thing Kara brought me back. Thanks."
"See? He even thanked me," Kara said, lifting her chin.
"...Did you seriously not realize where you just were?" Roland asked Killer Croc.
"In the sea," Killer Croc replied blankly.
"Didn't you wonder how you got there?" Roland's face twitched.
"Well, we should get going." Kara pushed Roland aside. "We've still got things to do. See you around, Uncle Waylon."
"Oh, bye." Killer Croc nodded.
"Doesn't your conscience hurt?" Roland asked. "He was practically turning into a salted fish."
"I learned it from you." Kara curled her lip. "But what exactly did you guys do underneath Gotham? How did you cause such a huge commotion?"
"It's a long story, but that wasn't my doing. It was Batman." Roland thought of Cthulhu Batman. "I never thought he and Joker would have that kind of connection... How interesting."
"Oh? Tell me more?" Kara was very interested in gossip like this.
"Let's save that for later. There are still plenty of places in Gotham that need cleaning up," Roland said. "You're strong. Go lend a hand."
"Fine." Kara lifted the wreckage of a car out of the road and set it down by the curb.
"Yeah, take these to a scrapyard later and sell them for scrap," Roland said after a moment's thought.
"...Isn't that a little questionable?" Kara considered it. "What if the owners need to file insurance claims?"
"It's fine. Just take a photo for them as evidence. Wayne Enterprises' insurance division doesn't go looking for excuses to deny claims. Proof is enough."
"...Aren't they worried about insurance fraud?"
