"Surely it wouldn't come to that..." Even Superboy-Prime wasn't sure anymore.

"Let's go check on them." Roland opened a portal and stepped into the ocean.

"What a troublesome opponent." Namor chased Aquaman. "Stay still, fool, so I can finish this quickly without seriously injuring you."

"I'd be happy to... except your muscles are so stiff and you move so slowly that I can't help dodging." Aquaman easily avoided the blow and taunted Namor.

"You think too highly of yourself, blondie!" Namor thrust his trident at Aquaman.

"Face reality, pointy ears—we're evenly matched." Aquaman nimbly dodged the attack. "At this rate, neither of us will get a chance to land a hit."

"Glug, glug..." Roland opened his mouth and released a stream of bubbles. After adjusting, he said, "Wait, you've been fighting this long and still haven't hit each other?"

"Oh, Roland, you're here." Aquaman greeted him. "Someone who looks a lot like Superman told me to deal with him. Hang on. We'll talk once I've finished him off."

"Can you handle him?" Roland asked. "Neither of you seems able to touch the other."

"Of course. I'll have him beaten in no time." Aquaman swung his trident, which skimmed past Namor.

"You two are just grazing past each other." Roland could see that both were far better at dodging than landing hits. No wonder they hadn't suffered so much as a scratch after all this fighting. "How long are you planning to keep this up?"

"I've already figured out how to deal with him!" Aquaman remained supremely confident.

"Are you sure?"

"Utter nonsense," Namor remarked. Then he watched Aquaman swim toward the shore at tremendous speed. "What are you doing?"

"...That's your plan? Fight him on land?" Roland watched Aquaman leap onto an abandoned harbor. "What kind of strategy is that?"
