"Jaguar!" Vixen sprang up and tackled one of them off his motorcycle.

Bronze Tiger thrust his hands into the fronts of two motorcycles, lifted them, and hurled them away.

"What?" The riders were stunned.

"You just had to ask for trouble." Bronze Tiger rolled his shoulders, elbowed a rider charging at him off his motorcycle, then planted a foot on the man as he tried to get up.

Vixen took down several others, then crouched beside their leader. "Tell me where to find your boss."

"Oh, then I'll wait for him." Vixen stood up. "Abisha, it's safe now."

"Stay away! What are you?" Abisha asked in shock.

"Please don't be afraid. I should have told you. This totem I wear lets me use the power of Voodoo—the spirits of animals." Vixen held up the totem against her chest.

Abisha froze. "Voodoo? But your father was a Christian—a priest at a church in England!"

"Well, yes," Vixen said. "My mother left this to me."

"I—I've never seen anyone stand up to Chisi's men like that." Abisha was still stunned.

"Now you have." Vixen smiled. "We're pretty strong. You don't need to worry."

"Tell us about this Chisi," Bronze Tiger asked Abisha. "Is he a warlord?"

"We thought Chisi was just a violent man—a man from the forest. That was why the elders did nothing. Then he came with his men and guns, and we began to suspect he was something other than human," Abisha said. "He steals girls from the villages to make them his wives and takes their virginity.
