"Whatever you're planning to do, you'd better decide quickly." Wonder Woman unleashed the God of War's divine power, forcing the seawater away from her and forming a hollow pocket. "Something's coming up."

Countless sea monsters surged upward, charging at the four of them.

"That many?" Roland watched the monsters pour toward them like a tide, feeling even more puzzled. "Seriously, what do they eat to grow that big?"

"No idea." Mera controlled the seawater, turning the currents into solid walls that kept the sea monsters outside. "Here's another question. You said these things eat people, and a lot of them. Then why bring their food home? Why not stay up there?"

"I think the answer's pretty obvious now." Roland watched a massive fish head rise up and smash through Mera's water wall. A tentacle several meters long curled from its head toward Aquaman.

"That's a big one. Looks like their king or queen." Aquaman was tiny compared to the monster, but his strength wasn't far behind its own. As the two grappled, they churned the surrounding seawater into a frenzy.

"Probably female. She needs to give birth, so she has those fish-men catch people for her to eat," Roland guessed.

"I think so too." Aquaman drove his trident into the fish head. Seeing him injure it, the surrounding sea monsters went berserk and hurled themselves at him without regard for anything else.

Mera seized the opportunity to sweep the cocoons off the hull of the Atlantean vessel with the currents. "Arthur, we're ready!"

"I have no choice. I'm sorry—" Aquaman hurled his trident toward the underwater volcano.

Lava erupted, killing the sea monsters' queen. The frenzied monsters swam upward at full speed, desperate to take Aquaman
