The Phoenicians were the first to name the Seven Seas, as they set out to map the Mediterranean.

After that, as cultures developed and people came to understand the world in different ways, the definition of the Seven Seas kept changing.

The Greeks, The Romans, and now we ourselves had each defined our own Seven Seas. The concept had grown ever broader.

Until they merged into one and became the ocean.

I was lord of the Seven Seas.

I was Aquaman.

Once, I had nearly died countless times searching for Atlantis. When I finally reached it, they welcomed me with open arms.

Even my younger brother respected and obeyed the laws of Atlantis, yielding his throne to me.

But within weeks, disputes broke out among our people. Some called me an impure king, a Mixed-Blood born of a land dweller and a sea dweller. They wanted to change the laws handed down by our ancestors and return the throne to my brother—a pure-blooded Atlantean. In those days, I did everything I could to live up to their expectations.

Back then, I failed.

"Now I'm taking back everything I lost." The seer Kassina's voice suddenly sounded behind Aquaman.

"You startled me." Aquaman turned. "Kassina, what brings you here?"

"I foresaw Black Manta's plot and sensed a crisis coming, so I came to see how things were going on your end," Kassina said. "I didn't expect you to have such a kingly bearing now. A little melodramatic, though."

Kassina was an Iranian seer with the power of foresight and a trusted friend of Aquaman's. They had teamed up before Aquaman had made contact with Atlantis, and Kassina possessed the Golden Seal, one of the Dead King's relics.

"Thanks for coming." Aquaman didn't stand on ceremony with his friend. "What did you foresee?"
