On the top floor of the Hyatt Hotel, Lord El-Melloi, Kayneth, had established his base, laying down bounded fields and transforming the interior into an otherworldly space to keep his opponents from breaking in.

"Tch—" Remembering how Waver had stolen the Holy Relic he had originally prepared soured his mood again. "That idiot—he wouldn't be stupid enough to join this Holy Grail War, would he?"

"Are you still worried about that student?" asked Kayneth's fiancée, Sola-Ui Nuada-Re Sophia-Ri.

"Why would I worry about him?" Kayneth scoffed. "Is a self-important fool with his head full of nonsense worth my concern? I'm merely annoyed that he dared steal my Holy Relic. He threw my entire plan into disarray—fortunately, I had a backup."

As he spoke, he placed the prepared Holy Relic inside the magic circle and began chanting the incantation to summon a Servant.

"Oh, you summoned me. Sima Yi has arrived—" A blonde girl in Han-dynasty clothing appeared within the magic circle. The moment she saw Kayneth, her expression froze. "—Brother? Sister-in-law? And you're alive?"

"Reines? What are you playing at?" Kayneth was dumbfounded. He had never expected his mischievous little sister to spring something this outrageous on him now. "—Where's my Servant?"

"—Much as I hate to admit it, that would be me," Reines said helplessly.

"Is this some kind of joke?" Kayneth felt as though everything he knew about the magecraft behind the Holy Grail War was crumbling. "Are you telling me you're a Heroic Spirit?"

"My true name is Sima Yi. Didn't you hear me just now?" Reines explained. "I'm actually a Pseudo-Servant. Don't worry, I inherited his powers."

"Oh." Kayneth had no idea what to say.

"Look on the bright side. At least you won't have to worry about getting along with your Servant," Reines consoled him.
