"First Form?" Astra asked curiously. "Is it a martial art? No—this is clearly my Telekinesis, isn't it?"
"Not exactly either." Roland shook his head. "It's just a technique for using mental power."
"Oh." Astra nodded. "Then can I use it too?"
"Of course." Roland thought for a moment. "But it causes too much commotion. Don't use it recklessly for now."
"I know." Astra glanced back at the unconscious little girl. "But what do we do with her?"
"It's fine. I picked up a little Hypnosis from Old Bat," Roland said. "I've only just started learning, but it'll be enough for a child."
"Oh?" Astra raised an eyebrow. "Hypnosis specifically for children?"
"...You really know what to focus on."
"Of course I do."
Roland rolled his eyes, woke the unconscious Vestal Virgin, then hypnotized her into believing that everything she had experienced that night was a dream.
Over the next few days, Roland hid near the Temple of Vesta and watched for any activity inside.
Avaritia came several more times. He still did nothing but observe, yet Roland could clearly tell he was growing impatient. It might not be long before he made his move.
So Kara set aside her work and joined Roland in keeping watch outside the Temple of Vesta.
"Hmm... This move of yours is still too complicated." Two stones collided in Kara's hand, spraying chips all over her.
"It is." Roland nodded. "I might not get a chance to use it in a fight. I need to come up with something more convenient, a move I can open with."
"I know how to do that," Kara said. "Just charge straight at them at high speed."
"...What?"
"That's what I usually do." Kara nodded. "It works."
"That's because you have Iron Body—wait..." Roland paused to think. "Iron Body?"
