"Transform!" Beast Boy rolled across Roland's hand and turned into a puppy. Two searing crimson beams shot from his eyes and crashed into the incoming slash of light.
"Go!" Roland sprinted away with Beast Boy, soon disappearing into the streets and alleys.
"They sure ran fast." Mordred sheathed his sword and clicked his tongue in annoyance.
"No matter." Nero casually set down his wine cup and said without concern, "Sir Mordred, let us return to the palace."
"You're not going to keep watching the beast fights?" Mordred asked.
"No. The beast fights aren't nearly as interesting as what just happened." Nero stood up. "Let's go."
Roman Grand Theater.
Rome's grand theater had been modeled after those built by the Greeks, though it also incorporated distinctly Roman features: thick supporting columns and a more imposing auditorium. Its circular seating rose through hundreds of tiers, ensuring everyone could look down on the actors' splendid performances.
