Seeing that the time was right, Bai Shi began trying to train the two Pokémon.

The results, however, were far from ideal.

Sealeo was slow to react and could not understand overly complicated commands.

So far, all it could manage was some basic physical conditioning.

Shiny Ariados, meanwhile, was rather like Stantler, always looking for ways to shirk its work.

It absolutely loathed repetitive, tedious physical training.

One was a dimwit, the other a grump, and together they had Bai Shi tearing his hair out.

He had gone to all that trouble to catch these two Pokémon, not to give them a comfortable retirement.

At least, not yet.

A few days earlier, Bai Shi had seen an online news report about Team Galactic's failed attempt to blow up Iron Island.

That meant Team Galactic had shaken off the fallout from the destruction of its factory and the Meteorite and had resumed its plans.

Before long, Team Galactic would surely make its move against the Legendary Pokémon of the Three Lakes.

Bai Shi was running out of time to grow stronger.

He had to make every second count.

He had high hopes for his newly caught Sealeo and Shiny Ariados, so naturally, he would not give up on them lightly.

He firmly believed that every Pokémon held enormous untapped potential.

Only the right methods could draw that potential out.

As a Pokémon Trainer, his greatest responsibility was to find those methods.

Racking his brains over the two Pokémon's vastly different personalities, Bai Shi devised two completely different training plans.

For Sealeo, the "dimwit," the focus was on physical conditioning to lay the groundwork for Evolution.

It only needed to become proficient in the moves it already knew.

Bai Shi did not expect it to learn any new moves at this stage.
