Aboard the passenger ship, Bai Shi arrived at his intended destination: Shalour City in the Kalos Region.

As soon as they arrived in Shalour City, the captain handed Kaihara and the others over to the local Officer Jenny.

As the person chiefly responsible for capturing Kaihara, Bai Shi also received a generous reward from the captain.

Only after collecting his well-earned reward did Bai Shi formally bid the captain farewell.

Shalour City, known as the "City of Awakening," had a long and rich history.

On a nearby island stood a landmark called the Tower of Mastery.

Shalour Gym was located inside that tower.

Bai Shi had originally planned to head to Mega Island alone and search for Lopunny's Mega Stone.

After careful consideration, however, he felt that approach was somewhat inappropriate.

So he changed his mind and decided to visit Shalour Gym openly.

He would see whether he could earn Gurkinn's approval and obtain the Lopunny Mega Stone he had always dreamed of.

Since the island's Tower of Mastery could only be reached at low tide, he had to wait.

After parting ways with the captain, Bai Shi was in no hurry to head to the Tower of Mastery.

Instead, he wandered around Shalour City.

The days aboard the passenger ship had been rather dull.

Bai Shi had felt thoroughly cooped up, so naturally, he wanted to take this opportunity to unwind.

He specifically bought them some Poké Puffs, a Kalos Region specialty, so they could try something new.
