Tourmaline Cave

After finishing his rematch at the Driftveil Gym, Bai Shi left Driftveil City and set off for Mistralton City.

Near Virbank City, there was a peculiar cave.

The cave contained exceptionally rich deposits of tourmaline.

As its name suggested, tourmaline was a kind of ore charged with electricity.

The cave had earned a modest reputation for producing it and was named Tourmaline Cave.

Bai Shi had heard about it before, so he went to Tourmaline Cave out of curiosity, hoping to look around.

To his surprise, he ran into Professor Juniper there.

She had set up camp outside the cave with a large team of assistants.

"Oh, isn't that Bai Shi?"

Professor Juniper looked surprised when she spotted him.

She had met Bai Shi once at her laboratory and still remembered him.

"Hello, Professor Juniper. It's been a while!"

Bai Shi smiled and greeted her politely.

Since Professor Juniper wasn't busy, he chatted with her for a bit.

Professor Juniper was there to investigate the tourmaline and the wild Pokémon living in the cave.

When she learned that Bai Shi was also quite interested in Tourmaline Cave, she volunteered to be his guide and took him inside for a tour.

The vast quantities of tourmaline filled the cave with powerful electromagnetic forces.

They even caused some of the tourmaline to float miraculously in midair.

Standing inside, Bai Shi felt as though he had stepped into a fantastical world.

The abundant electricity in the cave had also attracted plenty of wild Pokémon.

Bai Shi spotted many Joltik and Galvantula there.

They were eagerly absorbing the electricity that permeated the cave.

Joltik and Galvantula are both Bug- and Electric-types, with Compound Eyes, Unnerve, and Swarm as their abilities.
