Using it repeatedly could build their speed and explosive power.

Over longer sessions, it could improve their endurance as well.

Unfortunately, this training method only suited Pokémon that were already fast.

It was not a good fit for Dunsparce, who could burrow faster than he could run.

Bai Shi needed another approach to train him.

As for the old hand Stantler, Bai Shi could not do much with him.

As long as he kept up his Confusion training, Bai Shi let him be.

Under normal circumstances, Bai Shi would not consider sending him into a match.
