Camping for the Night

The sun was setting, and Bai Shi had yet to reach a town. He had no choice but to stop for the day.

He looked for a suitable place to camp in the wilderness.

After so long on the road, Bai Shi was used to it.

Before long, he found a spot where he could spend the night.

Bai Shi took an outdoor tent from his backpack and set it up with practiced ease.

Only after the tent was up did he start preparing dinner.

No one could live on hard rations all day. He needed a hot meal now and then.

Before setting out, Bai Shi had bought a supply of rice, noodles, and similar foods.

Boiled in a pot with some cured meat and wild greens, they made a delicious dinner.

To avoid unwanted visitors, Bai Shi had already let out all four of his Pokémon.

He had them keep watch while helping gather firewood and other supplies.

Bai Shi used the wood and water they brought back to build a fire and cook.

With trainer and Pokémon working together, a rich aroma soon filled the air.

Of course, once the food was ready, Bai Shi did not forget his Pokémon.

He took out some Poffins and dried meat and shared them around.

Then he sat down to enjoy dinner with them.

The smell of food drew a few Wild Pokémon over as well.

Bai Shi handled them differently depending on their behavior.

If they were friendly and posed no threat, he shared some ordinary Pokémon Food with them.

If they looked vicious and tried to take food by force, he left them to Staravia or Zangoose.

The friendly ones usually ate their fill and went on their way, delighted.
