The next day, the Solaceon Contest began as scheduled.

Bai Shi and Ash put their special training on hold and went to the stands to cheer Dawn on.

To capture the best moments, Bai Shi had brought his laptop.

He aimed its camera at the center of the stage.

He hoped to record every contestant's performance.

Then, when he had time, he could study the footage.

Perhaps it would give him new ideas for training his Pokémon.

"Hello, everyone! I'm Bai An! Welcome to the Solaceon Contest!"

As usual, the host, Bai An, opened the Pokémon Contest with a welcome speech.

The regular guests, Contesta, Sukizo, and Nurse Joy, were all in attendance.

Once the introductions were over, the Solaceon Contest officially began.

"Go, Breloom!"

The first contestant onstage was none other than Kengo.

Using Stun Spore, Energy Ball, and Mach Punch, he delivered a dazzling performance that showed off Breloom's strength and beauty to perfection.

Thunderous applause rose from the stands, and the judges gave Kengo high praise.

"He's much better at performing than battling."

Bai Shi joined in the applause, a thoughtful look on his face.

One contestant after another took the stage, each showing off their own skills.

Even Jessie, whom he regarded as an enemy, put on a distinctive performance.

Watching it opened Bai Shi's eyes. The trip had been worth it.

"Ambipom, make a dazzling entrance!"

Before long, it was Dawn's turn to perform.

Her partner onstage was Ambipom, who had only recently evolved.

"Ambipom, spin around, then use Swift!"

At Dawn's command, Ambipom planted one hand on the floor and began spinning rapidly.

Still spinning, she sent out a shower of yellow, star-shaped lights.

Her rotation swept the stars into an enormous vortex.

They collided with one another, giving off dazzling flashes.
