"Tch, I underestimated him! Ursaring, get ready to battle!"

Paul frowned, recalled Lairon, and sent out another Pokémon.

A fierce-looking brown bear appeared before Bai Shi.

That Ursaring is no pushover!

"Dunsparce, use Flamethrower!"

Wary of Ursaring, Bai Shi attacked first.

Dunsparce opened his mouth and unleashed a jet of fire as thick as an arm.

"What a feeble move. Ursaring, use Hammer Arm!"

Paul sneered as he gave the command.

Ursaring raised a white-glowing arm and swung straight into the oncoming flames.

With sheer strength, he smashed through Dunsparce's Flamethrower.

"Yikes, what terrifying strength!"

Bai Shi drew a sharp breath at the sight, stunned.

He knew Paul's Ursaring was strong, but surely not that strong?

Dunsparce was so frightened that his confidence vanished in an instant.

"Ursaring, use Focus Blast!"

A pale blue sphere of energy began to form in Ursaring's hand.

"Dunsparce, quick, use Dig!"

Seeing the danger, Bai Shi hurriedly ordered Dunsparce underground.

He hoped Dunsparce could dodge Ursaring's move, then strike from below as he had against Lairon.

"Wishful thinking. Ursaring, use Stomping Tantrum!"

Seeing Bai Shi repeat the same trick, Paul issued his order at once.

Ursaring abandoned Focus Blast, lifted his left foot, and slammed it into the ground.

The tremendous force became a shock wave that traveled underground.

It drove Dunsparce out of hiding.

"Ursaring, finish him with Hammer Arm!"

At Paul's command, Ursaring raised his massive arm and brought it down on Dunsparce like a hammer.

The blow knocked Dunsparce unconscious.

With Dunsparce down, Bai Shi had only one Pokémon left. He had been pushed to the brink.

"Phew. Thanks for the effort, Dunsparce. I'll leave the rest to Staravia!"

Bai Shi took a deep breath, steadied himself, and sent out Staravia for one last stand.
